Saving textures

To save a texture to a file choose 'Save...' or 'Save As...' from the File menu. TextureMagic supports two file formats: Macintosh PICT and its own proprietary format. You should always prefer PICT because this is the standard file format for bitmaps on the Macintosh and every other application should be able to open it. TextureMagic's own file format is a safety net if saving as PICT should fail (this can happen on low memory conditions).

'Tiled Save As...' from the File menu lets you save a bigger, tiled bitmap of the texture. This is useful if you want to use the tiled texture in an application that does not support tiling (as background in Quark XPress for example).
